Inspired by Red Lobster Restaurant
This is a fabulous dish for creamy pasta lovers!
8 ounces linguine
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons flour
2 cups half-and-half
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt & pepper
1-teaspoon cayenne pepper
8 ounces faux kosher crab, cut into chunks
Dried red pepper flakes
Cook linguine according to package and drain.
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in the flour and cook briefly until it looks sandy.
Do not let it brown.
Whisk in the half-and-half and stir until the mixture forms a thick sauce.
Stir in the cheese, and season to taste
Simmer a few minutes to blend all of the flavors and stir in the crab. Cook just until the crab is heated through.
Serve over cooked linguine, Top with additional Parmesan cheese and serve red pepper flakes on the side.
KosherEye Tip: If you save some of the pasta cooking sauce, it can be used to thin the Alfredo sauce if necessary.
