The recipe title says it all - Hot Fudge Sauce needs no introduction!
1 cup sugar
1 teapoon vanilla
3 /4 cup plain unsweetened cocoa- such as Hershey’s
1 cup heavy cream (whipping cream)
4 ounces (1 /2 stick) unsalted butter
In a small saucepan, combine sugar, vanilla and cocoa. Add half the cream and whisk until smooth. Add remaining cream; blend well. Simmer on low, stirring continually until sugar dissolves. Add butter and simmer, stirring often, until mixture is smooth and thick, about 5 minutes. Keep warm.
Mixture may be stored in refrigerator. When ready to use again, simply warm in microwave.
Yield: 8 or more servings
