Circle of Jewish Holidays
By Ben Avram
We are delighted to introduce a new KosherEye partner-The Blue and White Gallery, located at 1 Cardo Street in the Old City of Jerusalem. The gallery was established in 1967, when the city was reunited after the six-day-war. It is run by Israeli artist Udi Merioz who is also currently the curator of the Israeli Prime Ministers' Art Collection. Blue and White is the largest exporter of artwork from Israel. To view the online art collection, or for more information, visit blueandwhiteart.com.
Whenever we are in Jerusalem we stop by this art gallery to browse its spectacular collections. We will be featuring their artwork from time to time, and to launch this relationship, Blue and White Gallery is generously offering a giveaway for our readers. The piece we have selected is titled Circle of Jewish Holidays by artist Ben Avram. In this lithograph, the names of all of the Jewish Holidays appear with images representing the major aspects of each holiday. In the center of the piece the artist Ben Avram has painted The Western Wall- depicting that Jerusalem is the center of Jewish life. This circle starts at the Jewish New Year and ends in receiving the TorahAdd a comment
