Miracles & Meals with Joanne Caras
Season 2 on Jewish Life Television
The TV show Miracles & Meals with Joanne Caras begins its second season on JLTV (Jewish Life Television), on Monday, June 10th. The show shares stories and recipes of Holocaust Survivors. It is filmed in Port St. Lucie at Caras’ home, and is based on her two books, "The Holocaust Survivor Cookbook" and "Miracles & Meals." Both books share recipes and stories of Holocaust survivors and their families and experiences -- stories Caras believes should not be forgotten.
Caras' mission began in Jerusalem where she visited Carmei Ha'ir, an “open restaurant” and soup kitchen where her son and his wife volunteered. The concept of this open restaurant means it's impossible to tell those getting free meals from people like Caras and her family, who left a gift to pay for her meal as well as others' food when visiting. Caras was moved by the dignity with which each meal was served and knew she wanted to raise money for the cause. Sales from her two books benefit Carmel Ha’ir.
The JLTV network is seen in every state and 116 countries. Season 2 of Miracles & Meals with Joanne Caras begins on Monday June 10 at 9 PM. It is the #1 rated cooking show on the network. Watch it live at www.jltv.tv
