Target Introduces New Line of Organic/Natural Products - Many are Kosher
Target has entered the wellness market by introducing its new grocery brand Simply Balanced. Approximately 40% of the new products are organic, and none of the items have hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup, synthetic colors, artificial preservatives, artificial flavors or artificial sweeteners.
The good news for kosher shoppers is that much of the line is kosher. For a list of kosher items certified by the OU, visit http://oukosher.org/product-search/ and enter the words Simply Balanced into the product search area.
Plans are to rollout 200 products to U.S. stores in 2013.
