Our seventh vintage, this 2008 Napa Valley Estate Bottled Syrah is the first made from our newest vineyard: Weir Family Vineyard III in the Eastern foothills of the Valley. On the nose, our Syrah shows aromas of red and black fruits. This inky, dark red wine fills the mouth with firm, meaty tannins, complementing a rich mix of cherry, black cherry, chocolate, and leather. With an extremely long finish, this well-structured Syrah begs for the accompaniment of food--anything roasted and in need of a wine able to accent and deepen the experience of hearty meat dishes.

This intensely inky-colored Cabernet Sauvignon wine is grown in the well-drained, stony and iron-rich soils of the Weir Family Vineyard along the Silverado Trail, one mile south of the famed Stags’ Leap appellation and ten yards from the Oak Knoll District, the Valley’s newest sub-appellation. The rich, spicy nose of bakers’ chocolate and black cherry compliments the brooding and spice-filled black licorice, black cherry, plum and cranberry on the palate. The addition of 5% Merlot enhances the complexity of the wine, as well as adding to our trademark robust and silky mid-palate. Aged for 19 months in small French and American oak cooperage, our Cabernet Sauvignon will flourish with bottle age. This newest wine is surely a treasure to keep for many years in your personal cellar.

This beautiful Sauvignon Blanc comes from the Moskowite Ranch on the eastern foothills of Napa Valley. This older Sauvignon Blanc vineyard, which has been the source for our Sauvignon Blanc wines for over a decade, is a hillside planting with well-exposed fruit. The exposed fruit leads to an accentuated fruitiness rather than underexposed fruit which can cause a herbaceous wine style.
Our Sauvignon Blanc bursts in your face with beautiful aromatic fruits. The nose of Oro Blanco Grapefruit, which is also grown here on our property at the winery, almost jumps out of the glass at you. The bright orange citrus fruits of Mandarin and Clementine mingle to wake the senses and welcome you to have more. On the mouth this wine continues its citrus parade across the pallet and invites the flavors of white stone fruits along for the ride. The amazing balance of fruitiness and tart acid makes this a wine you will not want to put down.

Roussanne is a beautiful, hard to find alone, Rhone varietal. For those who are not familiar with this wine we consider it the Sauvignon Blanc of Chardonnay. If that does not make sense now, it will when you try this wonderful wine. The nose of this alluring wine has notes of sweet hay and wild flowers. The wine moves seamlessly into a mouth of Galia melon, lychee, Asian pear and green apple. A crisp mouth feel, but with a soft creamy edge, finishes out the tasting experience.
This Roussanne is produced from grapes grown in the Ripken Vineyard, a site renowned for its ability to lend white varietals complexity and fruitiness, qualities required for a food friendly wine. Roussanne, especially this one, is an extremely versatile wine that pairs well with foods ranging from grilled fish to garlic chicken to creamy pastas.
